Most marketers at one time or another have used article marketing submission software in an attempt to promote their website. It used to be a great way to generate targeted traffic and increase link popularity by building web links. But recently the search engines have started using duplicate content filters to filter out duplicate copies of the same articles which they find scattered across the web. These filters are ultimately rendering your hard work useless.

The search engines started using duplicate content filters to help them keep their databases clean. They don't want hundreds of copies of the same article – one is enough. So what we need is a mechanism that will allow us to submit our articles to many different websites and publishers, but allow us to easily create a unique version of our article for each submission. So we don't get caught by the filters, and start gaining backlinks and traffic again.

Article Marketing Still works if you know the new model

By thinking outside of the box a little, article marketing is still a very powerful tool in our arsenal, but we need to know the new secrets to ensure the search engines index every unique version of our article that they find. That's where we turn to technology and a couple of tools from some pretty smart marketers. But you need to be aware of what makes a good tool worth the investment, and what tools you need to stay away from.

Most of the article submission software tools on the market work very well in what they do - they just don't do enough. They will submit your article to hundreds (or even thousands) of article websites and publishers, but they submit the exact same version of your article to each of them. So you will still be hit with the duplicate content penalties.

So unfortunately, these article submission tools are not a good investment for your business- no matter how many directories they claim to submit to.

Unique Content Article Marketing

The good news is that there are two new applications that I've recently discovered, that accomplish both goals. They submit to thousands of article websites, (so help increase link popularity for your site) and each website gets a totally unique version of your article. I've been using them both in my affiliate marketing business for several months now, and they both work exceptionally well.

They will both submit a totally unique version of your article to each of the directories they submit to, so you never have to worry about duplicate content every again. And before you worry about low quality machine generated content, they both use a system that means each article submitted is a human edited version that passes human and search engine interrogation. Each of these applications submits to a separate list of websites and directories, so by using them both you get double the power.

These tools work by having you create 3 separate versions of your article. They then select paragraphs at random to create a new and totally unique version before submitting it to the next article directory or publisher. They will always take the paragraphs in sequence (so paragraph 3 of any of the original articles will always be paragraph 3 of the new article), but by mixing them up, you get a huge number of unique permutations.

Each of your 3 original articles needs to have the same number of paragraphs, and each paragraph needs to say the same thing – just using different words and perhaps in a different style. I outsource all my articles, but they're easy enough to write yourself if you're on a tight budget.
